Since 1980, we have operated as a free referral service to the bartending industry. Whenever an employer needs to hire a bartender, all they need to do is give us a call, describe what type of individual they’re looking for, and we immediately post it to our job bank. Now, just imagine how the list of employers who uses our free service has grown after all those years. We also work with many staffing agencies that will call on us to fill extremely large events. It’s not uncommon for them to request hundreds of our bartenders at the same time to fill their positions.
We have placed thousands of our students into some of the busiest bars here in Maryland, Washington DC, and across the country. Did you know? Maryland is one of the top states to pursue your career as a certified bartender due to the approval of casinos with additional slot machines and table gaming as well as other countless opportunities in the food and beverage industry. In fact, we are having difficulties keeping up with the demand for our bartenders. Maryland is home to Baltimore’s Inner Harbor as well as trendy communities such as Federal Hill, Fells Point, and Canton. In addition, Maryland is home to historic downtown Annapolis and Southern Maryland’s restaurant row. We even have our own very popular Eastern Shore resort town known as Ocean City, MD. We are also filling bartending positions in the District of Columbia and its surrounding areas.
Just before you graduate, each student will learn “How to obtain a bartending position” this valuable information was developed so graduates will understand our rules and suggestions, taking the guesswork out on how you should apply for a bartending job. Also, our graduates will be given a username and password to gain access 24/7 to our online job bank. Remember, most of our full or part-time bartending jobs are unadvertised and available only to our graduates.

Every Maryland Bartending Academy’s graduate is eligible to use the job placement assistance service and take refresher classes at all PBSA schools, nationwide. www.pbsa.com. If you ever relocate, you can be sure to find a bartending job in your new hometown!
We partner with the Professional Bartending Schools of America, which currently has 36 member schools and has contracted with over 50 additional campuses.
PBSA is the nation’s largest group of independently owned bartending schools. We have signed, written contracts for placement services at these additional campuses, and monitor them for their placement results. We feel we have the best schools for placement in the industry.
Any of our graduates may call the academy if they are considering relocating, and we will verify we have an affiliate school in their new city. Once the graduate has relocated to the new city, he or she can call the Academy and we will reach out to a partner school in that city and schedule an introduction with the job placement coordinator on your behalf.
Our graduate then reports to the new campus and shows his or her Maryland Bartending Academy diploma, and all of the new city’s job openings are available to them at no charge. The new school will treat our graduate like one of their own and the job placement services can be used on a continual basis.
