Beer & Spirits Certification Course Only $25.00

Beer & Spirits is a complement and companion product to the wine training course, and should be viewed as an important component of an employee’s complete food and beverage education.

Approximately 120 minutes in length, Beer & Spirits can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection- at the restaurant, at home, or from an Internet cafe or public library. Students may log in and access the tutorial and resources at any time throughout the subscription period.

Lesson 1: Beer

Students explore how beer is made, the different styles and characteristics of beer, bottle vs. draught beer and pairing beer with food.

Lesson 2: Distilled Spirits

Students learn about the distillation process and detailed information on different types of distilled spirits (vodka, gin, whiskey, liqueurs, etc.).

Lesson 3: Mixers, Garnishes & Glassware

This lesson details the different ingredients used to make mixed drinks, the different types of garnishes and appropriate glassware.

Lesson 4: Making Drinks

This lesson uses video and high resolution photographs to demonstrate how to make popular drinks, including martinis, frozen drinks, rocks drinks, and shots/shooters. Also included is information on increasing sales, responsible service, and behaviors of a great bartender.

At the end of the course, students are required to complete a 20-question quiz. Once the quiz is passed, a personalized Certificate of Achievement can be printed.

The course is contained within a sophisticated and secure Learning Management System (LMS) that stores and maintains all training records, making it easy for managers and executives to view training records at any time for the entire company, a specific location, or an individual student.
