Peppermint Hot Chocolate
Pay tribute to the candy cane like a grownup and heat up the night with this peppermint hot chocolate recipe that serves four.
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 quart milk
- ½ cup (3 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 7 peppermint sticks – 4 for garnish, 3 crushed
Place cocoa in a medium saucepan, slowly whisking in milk so the powder dissolves. Add chocolate chips and crushed peppermint, allowing to simmer over medium heat and stirring occasionally. Bring to a boil when chocolate and peppermint have melted completely, or after about 8-10 minutes. Add salt before serving in mugs with a peppermint stick for decoration.

Gingerbread Apple Cocktail
Miss the days of making gingerbread houses? We’ve got something just as festive in mind to satiate your need for sweets with this cocktail that’s so pretty, it’s display-worthy.
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces Domaine de Canton
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 2.5 ounces apple cider
- A few drops of lemon juice
- Orange Zest
- Agave Syrup
Directions:
Decorate the rims of your chilled martini glasses by coating them lightly with agave syrup and dipping them in spiced graham cracker crumbs. Put ingredients, with the exception of the orange zest, in a shaker and mix well. Strain into glass, sprinkle the orange zest on top, and enjoy!
