Here we go again. More bartending tips to improve your performance and hopefully generate more tips. After all, as we pointed out last week, while the ability to mix good drinks is important, the success of a bartender comes down to customer relations, his or her ability to relate to the customer.
Bartending and Customer Relations Tips
- Prioritize your Duties: As a bartender, you are constantly multitasking. But it is important to make sure you are not ignoring your customers. So it is important to prioritize your duties. For instance, you should never clean glasses while there are customers waiting to be served.
- Don’t Play Favorites: Even if one of your regulars walks in, you must still continue moving around and treating everyone as equals. Remember, there are ways to make your regulars feel special without giving them extra attention.
- Make Suggestions: Take note of what your customers are drinking and make suggestions of similar drinks they may enjoy. They will appreciate the extra attention.
- Don’t Worry About Tips: Tips will come if you do your job the right way. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you.
- And Much, Much More!
