Four casinos are open in Maryland, and they’re becoming some of the most popular attractions in the state. The four casinos pulled in over $66 million in October, a $1 million increase over September. Not counting Rocky Gap Casino Resort, which opened in May of this year, the state’s other three casinos (Maryland Live Casino, Hollywood Casino Perryville, and Casino at Ocean Downs) saw an increase in revenue of almost 59% over this time last year. And with the Horseshoe Casino set to open in Baltimore sometime next year, and proposals for a new casino in Prince George’s County, it’s safe to say that casinos are doing well here in Maryland.
So what does that mean for bartenders? One thing: jobs. Casinos are large operations, and they need lots of bartenders to serve drinks. Not only that, but most of Maryland’s casinos are 24 hour operations, which means they need bartenders at all shifts. There are plenty of opportunities out there at Maryland’s casinos, and with an education from the Maryland Bartender Academy, you’ll be ready to take on the games.
